James Carter "Jimmie" Walker (born June 25, 1947) is an American actor and stand-up comedian known for portraying J. J. Evans on the television series Good Times, which ran from 1974 to 1979. While on the show, his character was known for the catch phrase "Kid-a-Dy-no-mite". Walker was born in The Bronx, New York. He is a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in New York City.
