Fuhrman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Health Association He serves on the Advisory Panel of The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, as well as on the medical staff of Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey, where he specializes in nutritional medicine.
Fuhrman is the author of six books. He has appeared on several radio and television shows.
