After Mötley Crüe parted ways with lead singer Vince Neil in 1992, Corabi was hired as his replacement. Bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee stated that the band would benefit from the addition of John's voice (deeper and more powerful than Neil's) and having another musician contribute to the songwriting.
