John Jay Doggett (b. April 4, 1960 Atlanta, Georgia) is a fictional character and one of the primary protagonist of seasons 8 and 9 of the TV series The X-Files. He is played by Robert Patrick.
Doggett served in the US Marine Corps in an Amphibious Unit from 1977-1983. His final rank was Sergeant. During this time, he became friends with fellow Marine Knowle Rohrer.
