John Lynch (born 26 December 1961) is an actor from Northern Ireland.
Lynch was born in Corrinshego, near Newry, County Armagh in Northern Ireland. He attended St Colman's College, Newry, an all-Catholic school. Lynch has appeared in numerous films related to Northern Ireland's problems, such as Cal, In the Name of the Father, The Railway Station Man, Nothing Personal and Some Mother's Son, as well as the Irish-themed film Evelyn, with Pierce Brosnan, Aidan Quinn and Julianna Margulies. He starred as Gyneth Paltrow's boyfriend in Sliding Doors, and as a supporting actor in Derek Jarman's Edward II.
Lynch played the part of football legend George Best in the 2000 film Best, directed by his wife Mary McGuckian.
