John Molo is the product of immigrants- he counts three grandparents who came to the United States from Ireland, and one from the border of Switzerland and Austria, which is from whence his surname comes. As a child, he grew up and lived in Washington, D.C., attending Catholic school, learning to sing, both secular and religious songs using harmony, and enjoying it with the Sisters of Notre Dame. However, his father, an Oceanographer, became increasingly concerned about the level of safety inside the city, so the family was moved instead to the suburbs to live in northern Virginia, where he went to high school, in Langley, Virginia....
