Spiro was born and raised in Manhattan. She is Jewish and has three sisters. Spiro studied at the Circle in the Square Theatre school and briefly attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Spiro can be seen in the TBS original comedy series My Boys. She plays the role of P.J., a twenty-something “guy's girl,” a sports reporter who tries to find romance within her world dominated by male friends. The role earned Spiro a Ewwy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2009. The series recently wrapped its third season on TBS.
