José Rizal University was originally established by Don Vicente Fabella as Far Eastern College in 1919, its name was changed to José Rizal College in 1922. First located at Arlegui Street, the College transferred to R. Hidalgo Street soon afterwards, moving to its present location in Mandaluyong in 1949.
