Joseph also played the role of the main antagonist and vengeful Vincent 'Vinnie' Taglialucci in the 1993 film Carlito's Way, who seeks revenge for the death of his father and brother at the hands of corrupt lawyer David Kleinfeld (Sean Penn), and falsely accuses Carlito Brigante (Al Pacino) of helping in the murder.
