He played on the varsity basketball team all four years of high school. As a senior he was named the 2008 Gatorade Player of the Year. In his senior year he averaged 25.9 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 6.9 apg and 4.8 spg and lead Campbell Hall to a 31-5 record and the California Division IV state title.
