Julie Louise Gerberding, M.D., M.P.H., an expert in infectious diseases, is the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Administrator of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). Prior to her positions at CDC, Dr. Gerberding was also a professor of medicine at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) and Emory University.
