Robins plays amiable and bumbling mad scientist Nathaniel Pickman Wingate, affiliated with Miskatonic University, who is busy trying to open a portal to another dimension while his wife, Nancy (Laura O'Malley), and family prepare to celebrate his fiftieth birthday.
