Previously, Mr. Pipes spent ten years in politics as a communications and policy advisor. Most notably, he served President George W. Bush for five years. In 1999, he began writing speeches for the Bush for President Campaign. In January 2001, he started serving at the White House where he continued to write speeches but also provided research and analysis on public policy issues. In 2004, he was chief author of the Republican Party National Platform.
