Kazimir Severinovich Malevich (, , Ukrainian Казимир Северинович Малевич , ), (February 23, 1878 – May 15, 1935) was a painter and art theoretician, pioneer of geometric abstract art and the originator of the Avant-garde Suprematist movement.
