This episode marks the last appearance of Sasha Alexander as Caitlin Todd and the first of new team members Jenny Shepard (played by Lauren Holly) and Ziva David (played by Cote de Pablo), although Holly and de Pablo do not become regular cast members until the tenth and fourth episodes in the season respectively. Alexander is given a "Special Guest Star" credit in both Part 1 and Part 2.
