King O'Malley (July 1858 – 20 December 1953) was an Australian politician. O'Malley was a colourful figure in Australian public life during the early years of Federation. He is particularly remembered for his role in the establishment of the Commonwealth Bank and in the selection of Canberra as the national capital.
Neither the date nor the place of O'Malley's birth is known with certainty. His biographers Larry Noye and Arthur Hoyle say he was born on 2 July, while the Australian Parliamentary Handbook says 4 July.
