Kobuk is a city in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 109. Kobuk is located on the bank of the Kobuk River, 10 km (7 miles) northeast of Shungnak. It is near Kobuk Valley National Park. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 16.8 square miles (43.6 km²), of which, 16.1 square miles (41.7 km²) of it is land and 0.7 square miles (1.9 km²) of it (4.34%) is water.
