Korey and John have two children, Alexandria Christine and Xavier Timothy. They had other musicians fill in for her on tour when they were born. Korey has also co-written many of Skillet's songs with her husband.
In interviews and blogs, she said that Skillet guitarist Ben Kasica is her "coffee friend", because they both have a love of coffee, and John Cooper and former drummer Lori Peters don't really drink coffee.
