The concerts were recorded in 32 tracks, and the sound track was mixed in Twickingham Studios (of The Who fame) in England. Ladies and Gentlemen..., in its initial U.S. theatrical release, utilized the four magnetic striped "Foxhole Perforation" 35 mm film format pioneered by Walt Disney's Fantasia in 1939.
