The Chimp, released the following year, is also a partial remake.
The film has 3 versions. A 2 reel black-and-white version lasting approximately 20 minutes, a 3 reel black and white version lasting approximately 30 minutes and the 3 reel version has been colourised.
The 2 reel version is identical to the 3 reel version except it ends with the landlord committing suicide when due to his residence being quarantined he finds he is unable to evict Stan and Ollie....
