Ayres is best known for her role Bloodsport, alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme, Donald Gibb, and Bolo Yeung. Her agent at the time suggested it may be best for her not to play the role of Victor, the quirky tour Asian tour guide from Hong Kong. Instead she took the role of JCVD's love interest. Famous lines include "This is not the first time I have had to go undercover to get a story".
