Legion of Green Men is the main identity of the electronic music duo of brothers Alexander Addicus and Rupert J. Lloyd from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. They have had releases on Richie Hawtin's Plus 8 label, Colin Newman & Malka Spigel's swim ~ label as well as their own Post Contemporary label.
Legion of Green Men debuted with perhaps their best known album Spatial Specific in 1994. Initially released on Richie Hawtin's Plus 8 label it was later picked up by Virgin Records in Canada. Through the 90's the duo released a number of small edition vinyl records under a series of different aliases including - Alkahest, Zeuxis And The Painted Grapes, Empirical Sleeping Consort & Incarnate becoming specialists in the locked groove (which they refer to as Eternal Opuscules). They could achieve these in non-regular time signatures as well as 4/4.
The duo have remixed several other artists including Vapourspace, Malka Spigel, Pablo's Eye & Wire
