On February 8, 2008 it aired in the United States under the name Lemur Kingdom. Fourteen episodes airing through May 9, 2008. It was removed from the air with the return of the channel's top series, Meerkat Manor. It aired in Canada on TVO from February 13, 2008 through April 16, 2008, and on Knowledge from April 2, 2008 through May 31, 2008 using its original name of Lemur Street. Each episode is thirty minutes in length. Renowned primatologist Alison Jolly is the series scientific consultant, and Joanne Lunt is the producer.
Lemur Street is due to be released in a three disc DVD set in the United Kingdom in September 2008 by Eureka Entertainment.
