Williams played college football for the University of Miami where he played in 47 games recording 146 tackles. He was a Liberal Arts major.
Williams was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round (110th overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft. In his rookie season he played in 16 regular season games and recorded 37 tackles. He made his NFL debut at the Cincinnati Bengals on 17 September. His 17 tackles versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on 24 December were a career-high. In his second season with the Browns, he again played in 16 games and this time recorded 90 tackles....
