Lhohifushi island is an atoll of the North Malé Atoll of the Maldives. Like many of the uninhabited islands of the Malé Atoll the island is also a tourist resort.
Reports indicate that, although the island suffered some damage during the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake tsunami, it was much less affected than the islands surrounding it.
