Years later, during the events of Galactica 1980, Boomer had reached the rank of colonel and was the executive officer of the Battlestar Galactica.
The reimagined Battlestar Galactica features a character with the callsign "Boomer", played by Grace Park, humanoid cylon sleeper agent Lieutenant Sharon "Boomer" Valerii. However, there are many copies, one of which (Lieutenant Sharon "Athena" Agathon) has since been serving on Galactica under a different callsign.
