Lifestylez ov da Poor and Dangerous was the debut album of the late New York-based rapper Big L. It was released by Columbia Records on March 28, 1995, and remains as the sole studio album released by Big L while he was alive. A number of records, including The Big Picture and several compilations, were published after his death. The album title is a play on the 1984-95 Television series, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. The disc was notable for introducing up-and-coming emcees Cam'ron (then known as Killa Cam) and Jay-Z, on the posse cuts 8 iz Enuff and Da Graveyard, respectively. The album was well received by music critics and also gained a 4 mics rating from The Source. However, it received a more mediocre review from Rolling Stone which gave the album two stars out of five. The production of the album was handled by members of the D.I.T.C. crew: Buckwild, Lord Finesse , Showbiz and the lesser known B'Dizzun.
