Dr. Lonnie D. Kliever (1932 - 2004), was chair of the Department of Religious Studies at the Southern Methodist University (SMU). Kliever was born in Corn, Oklahoma, a small town in the southwestern part of the state; but spent most of his boyhood in Fort Worth.
