She began taking drama lessons when she was eight. Lombard was educated in a Roman Catholic school, from which she achieved nine O Levels. Lombard studied printing and photography at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
She is best known for her role as Evangeline in the 1990s television show The House of Eliott, in which she played the younger of the two Eliott sisters. She went on to star in many TV shows including the hit TV series Chancer in which she starred with Clive Owen, Body Guards and Metropolis and movies including Gold in the Streets, My Kingdom and After the Rain.
