When Luanne's barber shop sees an influx of teenage customers for the upcoming high school senior prom, Luanne begins to feel renewed sadness at having had to miss her own prom for her mother's trial. When she goes home to Lucky, she tries to talk him into taking her out for a romantic evening; however, he declines in favor of going 'stumping' (unearthing a walnut tree stump). Meanwhile, Lucky and his friends Elvin and Mud Dauber recruit the assistance of Hank, Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill to retrieve a particularly large stump Lucky knows of through his 'grandpappy'. Intrigued, they agree to help. The next day, Luanne receives a 15-year-old high-school senior named Kevin as a customer in the barber shop; when he disappointedly reveals that he's not going to the prom for lack of a date, she attempts to...
