Lynne Spears

Lynne Irene Spears (née Bridges; born May 4, 1955) is an author and the mother of pop singer Britney Spears and teen actress Jamie Lynn Spears. Lynne was born in McComb, Mississippi. She has an older brother, Barry "Sonny" Bridges (born 1951) and older sister Sandra Bridges Covington (1947-2007). She opened and worked in her own day care in the Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, until Britney, then age 11, became a member of the new Mickey Mouse Club for the 1993-1994 season.
