Mallatobuck, also known as Malla, is a fictional character of the Star Wars universe. She is a female adult Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. Mallatobuck, also known as Malla, is a fictional character of the Star Wars universe. She is a female adult Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. Malla is married to Chewbacca and is mother to Lumpawarrump. Her father-in-law is Attichitcuk. Mallatobuck was introduced in The Star Wars Holiday Special and was played by actor Mickey Morton. Malla and Chewbacca met during the times of the Old Republic, when Chewbacca rescued her from Trandoshan slavers. Chewbacca himself ends up enslaved by the Empire, however. He is rescued by Han Solo in a risky confrontation, and Solo becomes his closest friend. He swears a life debt to Solo, and accompanies him from that point on. He and Solo visit Kashyyyk, where he is reunited with Malla. He proposes, and they are married.
