Manhattan House of Detention for Men

This project was designed in the late 1930's and replaced the original "Tombs" which had been demolished in 1902. The project, which goes as high as 21 floors, was much altered in the early 1980's by the Gruzen Partnership, Architects and is featured in Architectural Record of March 1983.
