Marina Levinson is the senior vice president and chief information officer of
Network Appliance. In her role at NetApp, Levinson is a key contributor in
formulating the company's strategic business and IT goals. She oversees the
NetApp Global IT organization and plays an essential part in analyzing and
evolving NetApp business processes to enable the company's growth and to
optimize the existing NetApp IT infrastructure.
Levinson has over 20
years of IT management experience, dedicating most of her time to scaling IT
systems and IT organizations in fast growth environments. She joined NetApp in
2005 from Palm Inc., where she was the vice president and CIO for almost six
years. Under her leadership, Palm Inc. was selected twice as a winner of CIO
Magazine's prestigious CIO 100 awards. In recognition of her multiple
contributions, Levinson was also honored as a Computerworld Premier 100 IT
Leader for 2004.
Prior to Palm, Levinson spent 12 years at 3COM
Corporation in various roles, including senior director of Global Integration,
director of Business Applications, and manager of Corporate Systems. Earlier in
her career, Levinson also held a variety of positions at Spectra-Physics, Tandem
Computers, and TRW.
Levinson holds a bachelor of science degree in
computer science from the St. Petersburg Institute of Precision Mechanics and
Optics.
