Samuels’s tales have been collected in The White Hands, Black Altars, Glyphotech and most recently The Man Who Collected Machen And Other Stories. The White Hands was shortlisted for the British Fantasy Award in the Best Collection category in 2004. The title story of The White Hands was also on their shortlist for the Best Short Story category. His first long novella, The Face of Twilight, was published by PS Publishing in 2005.
In July 2004 he married the Mexican poet and author Adriana Diaz-Enciso.
