Matthew "Matt" Hunwick (born May 21, 1985, in Warren, Michigan) is a professional ice hockey defenseman, playing for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.
Hunwick attended the University of Michigan. During his senior season in 2006–07 season Hunwick served as captain of the Wolverines. He served as alternate captain in 2005–06.

On November 10, 2007 Hunwick played his first NHL regular season game with the Bruins, playing at home against the Buffalo Sabres. He scored his first career goal on November 17, 2008 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, as the second Bruins goal in a 3-2 road game win against the Toronto club.
He got into his first NHL fight on January 10, 2009 against Justin Williams of the Carolina Hurricanes, knocking him down on one punch.
