Matthew Stephen Roney (born January 10, 1980 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is a Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher who is currently a free agent. In 2003 he made his major league debut with the Tigers, appearing in 45 games and starting 11 of those. He would compile an overall record of 1-9 with a 5.45 ERA before being released on July 3, 2005. He played for the Oakland Athletics in 2006 but spent much of that time in the minors with the Sacramento River Cats, appearing in only three MLB games.
He signed a major league contract for the 2007 season with the Toronto Blue Jays on November 13, 2006.
