Maurice Greene (born July 23, 1974) is a former American track and field sprinter who specialised in the 100 meters and 200 meters. He is a former 100 m world record holder with a time of 9.79 seconds. During the height of his career (1997–2001) he won two Olympic gold medals and was a five-time World Champion.
