Max Starks went to Orlando Christian School for 6-8th graders. While attending he played basketball and volleyball for the OCS Knights. He was known as the "Gentle Giant" He was 6'3" with a size 15 shoe in 8th Grade. He went to Lake Highland Preparatory School, an academic private school in Orlando, Florida. He was the only football player from Lake Highland to become a pro athlete. He was one of the state's top offensive linemen in 1999, he was named to Super Prep's, National Bluechips and Prep Star's All-American teams .
