Melissa Mathison

Melissa Mathison (born June 3, 1950) is an American screenwriter. She is most famous for writing the screenplays for the films E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) for which she earned an Academy Award nomination, and Kundun, a film about the Dalai Lama. Mathison was the second wife of Harrison Ford, with whom she has two children: Malcolm Carswell Ford (b. 10 March 1987) and Georgia Ford (b. 30 June 1990).
