Mendeed were a metalcore band formed in 2000 and disbanded in 2007.
All members met in Dumbarton Academy when they were teens. In 2002 they self-released their first EP Killing Something Beautiful. After their first EP release their genre came through some changes making their sound far more aggressive, as it finally began to fade in popularity to Metalcore. In December 2003 Mendeed signed a recording contract with UK Label Rising Records. The band's first recording for the label was the EP From Shadows Came Darkness which was released in September 2004 with Mark Daghorn being the producer. Since its release Mendeed have well received popularity with their music being played in rock radio stations. They have since toured quite extensively, supporting the band DragonForce on two separate tours.
