It is also one of the three initial lines (along with the Santa Clarita and Ventura Lines) that formed the original Metrolink system. When the line opened in 1992, service extended only as far as Pomona, but in 1993 the line was extended to San Bernardino. Saturday service was introduced to the line in 1997 and Sunday service was introduced in 1998. The San Bernardino Line serves the following stations:
