Miasolé is opening the door to global-scale,
cost-effective solar power. Given the rising cost of oil and the
instability of oil-producing states, that seems like a pretty smart
move. Miasolé's solar cells:cost less per watt than crystalline silicon cells; are wrapped in rugged, flexible encapsulants, not glass; and (due to the focus on high-throughput manufacturing) can be delivered in very large quantities.
