Michael A. Grimaldi, who had been president and general manager of General Motors of Canada Limited since January 2002, was appointed president and chief executive officer of GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GMDAT), effective August 1, 2006. In his new position, Grimaldi is also a member of the GM Asia Pacific Strategy Board. He has been a corporate vice president since 1995.
