Castle is a graduate of Tower Hill School in Wilmington, Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He married Jane DiSabatino in 1992 and they have no children. They are members of the Roman Catholic Church. He is a direct descendant of Benjamin Franklin.
