Persbrandt is best known for his role as the tough police Gunvald Larsson in the "Beck" police films. He has a son, Igor (born 2006), together with Sanna Lundell, and who now lives in Ingarö. Persbrandt has played in many sets at the Royal Dramatic Theater in Stockholm and has made a lot of films and TV roles.
