My Best Friend (Mon Meilleur Ami) is a French film starring Daniel Auteuil and Dany Boon. François (Auteuil) is a middle-aged Parisian who thinks he has everything. But after telling a story at dinner about a funeral he attended where only a handful of people turned up, his colleagues suggest that no-one would go to his funeral; he may be materially rich, but he has no best friend. Everyone at the dinner table starts to antagonize him about having no friends and he says that he has a best friend. His associate Catherine decides to make a bet with him: in 10 days Francois has to show her his best friend. The bet is made. François has ten days to produce his best friend, or in François's case, to find one. The stake: his antique vase.
