Montana City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Montana, United States. The population was 2,094 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Helena Micropolitan Statistical Area. Montana City is located at 46°32′14″N 111°55′54″W / 46.53722°N 111.93167°W / 46.53722; -111.93167 (46.537357, -111.931705). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 28.3 square miles (73.2 km²), of which, 28.2 square miles (73.1 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.11%) is water.
