Moosewood Restaurant is known for its vegetarian cooking, and was named one of the thirteen most influential restaurants of the 20th Century by Bon Appetit magazine. It won a James Beard Foundation "American Classic" Award in 2000. It retains its vegetarian status despite having a fish entree on the menu daily.
Frozen Moosewood dinners under the Moosewood name are available in grocery stores. The meals were produced, under license, by Fairfield Farm Kitchens until March 2008, at which point Blue Marble Brands(part of United Natural Foods) purchased the license.
