"Mr. Monk Meets His Dad" is the ninth episode from the fifth season of the television series Monk. It first aired on November 17, 2006. The episode begins with two men talking to each other. The first man, Ben Glaser (Brian Kerwin), drives up to the second man, Kenneth Woods (Tom Everett), in a big rig that he and the other man own. The conversation starts pleasantly enough with Glaser commenting on Woods' tie. Woods replies that he got it at the recent Christmas party from one of their drivers, Monk (there's the connection). When Glaser asks why they did not fire him, Woods said it was Christmas and he did not have the heart to do so. Glaser says that he will take care of it. Then the conversation turns bitter. Woods gives Glaser a file showing the phony invoices for supposed new spare parts for their trucks when it turns out they were second hand recycled parts.
